We continued to advance our bold sustainability agenda to mitigate critical issues like climate change, natural disasters and other environmental pressures. Equinix was recognized as a leader in sustainability receiving an A- rating from CDP and the EPA’s 2020 Green Power Partner of the Year award. This report shows how Equinix is partnering with like-minded organizations to advance low-carbon energy policies, share renewable energy procurement knowledge and encourage innovation.

Highlights

  • Achieved more than 90% renewable coverage for our global data center energy consumption
  • Pursued Science-based Targets and applied innovative techniques to push sustainability forward in all three regions
  • Issued our first green bonds in 2020, committing to accelerating our efforts on green buildings, energy efficiency and water consumption
